Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire + Butter London Wallis

    October 31, 2011

I wanted to start off by saying sorry about all the confusion with my current giveaway. The current giveaway is for United States residence only. Sorry for your trouble if you have already registered and are not a U.S. resident.

This is my first experience with Butter London, and I am so glad it was Butter London Wallis! It is SO beautiful. I recieved this as a "thank you" gift from Lauren from A Polish Change. She is a doll, so stop by her blog and say hello.

This is two coats of the lovely Butter London Wallis with no top coat.

Then I thought I would use another Lynnderella polish! This time it was Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire. I thought it would be neat to see Butter London Wallis peeking through the jelly finish of Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire.

This is Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire with NO top coat. As you can see, it is VERY bumpy and has a lot of texture. This polish defiantly needs a top coat (unless you like this finish). At first I added ONE coat of top coat, and it was still bumpy and had a lot of texture. I was so disappointed in the polish UNTIL the girls in my Facebook polish group said ADD MORE TOP COAT (duh Amy!!!!). So I did. THREE coats of top coat did the trick. The polish was then absolutely gorgeous. See the last photo.

This is two coats of Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire over two coats of Butter London Wallis. This is THREE coats of top coat! Isn't it beautiful?!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?

Pumpkin Halloween Nail Design + My Nail Graffiti Halloween Franken

    October 29, 2011

With Halloween fast approaching, I thought it was time to post that typical pumpkin Halloween nail design. This is nothing special as we have been seeing a very similar design on many blogs lately. It is still a classic and fun to wear! The base color is the fun part! It is Pumpkin Patch from My Nail Grafitti's husband's Halloween Franken Collection (who just introduced his winter collection, and of course I bought it). It is a lovely orange with a gold shimmer and green glitter. It will be worn again next Halloween!  Then I used Bundle Monster stamping plates BM-224 and BM-222 to stamp on the design.

Lynnderella Gotta Love Brains + China Glaze Crushed Candy Shatter + Color Club Clean Break Shatter

    October 27, 2011

Today I wanted to show you a new way to use crackle polishes.....(well this is new to me because I have never seen crackle polishes used this way before). I put China Glaze Crushed Candy Shatter polish and Color Club Clean Break Shatter on my BARE nail. Well almost my bare nail..... you have to put a base coat or clear polish of some sort directly on your nails for the polish to actually shatter.

At this point, I didn't put a top coat on because I had more planned for this.... But you could add a clear top coat at this point and be done with the manicure for a really unique look!

Then I added two coats of Lynnderella Gotta Love Brains. This polish is amazing on its own, and you can easily google swatches to see what it looks like on its own. The polish is a very milky gray jelly with  a silver shimmer and misc sized/colored chunks of glitter!

Close up of Lynnderella Gotta Love Brains...

This is two coats of Lynnderella Gotta Love Brains and two coats of top coat over Shatter polish.

So what do you think of this look?

Lynnderella Connect the Dots + Ruby Kisses Schoolgirl Blue + Absolute! Light Blue

    October 25, 2011

The above and below photos show Ruby Kisses Schoolgirl Blue on all nails except the ring finger. This polish was a nice surprise because it had somewhat of a jelly finish (I think. I am still debating on that). The ring finger is Absolute! Light Blue. These polishes are new additions to my collection--sent in a surprise polish swap with Andrea from Addicted to the Allure of Beauty!

Then I decided to play with my new bottle of Lynnderella Connect the Dots!  This is a close up of the bottle!

The below photo shows ONE coat of Lynderella Connect the Dots!

The below photo shows TWO coats of Lynnderella Connect the Dots. Can you see the shimmer in it?

The below photo is THREE coats of Lynnderella Connect the Dots.

Because Ruby Kisses Schoolgirl Blue had somewhat of a jelly finish, I decided to add one coat on top of the three coats of Lynnderella Connect the Dots. I think this Lynderella polish would make an awesome jelly sandwich nail design (with the right jelly polish).

I messed up the ring finger by adding another coat of Absolute! Light Blue (because it is not a jelly polish) over the three coats of Connect the dots. Oh well. I still think it looks awesome as a jelly sandwich. If I would have known Schoolgirl Blue was a jelly polish, I would have placed that on all nails and skipped the Absolute! Light Blue.
