It had to be done! Facets of Fuchsia and Behind Closed Doors

Since I am decorating so many fake nails lately I am going to have plenty of empty polish bottles! Which means it's time to experiment!

Many of you have seen Facets of Fuchsia, and Behind Closed Doors.

I picked up the Revlon polish just last week, and I was so excited when I found it. Then the other day at a random CVS trip I found the Wet N' Wild polish. Both of them were the last one's left when I found them. When I had my eyes on Behind Closed Doors I knew immediately what I was going to do.

Purple and red are my favorite colors! I think they look lovely together.

I'll definitely be doing a nail design with this combo, but I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet. I don't know if I would call this a franken, since I only mixed two polishes together, but I guess it is. It's my first one.

New Nail Designs

These are all my new designs! I have worked crazy hard on them over the past week, making them perfect. Today I finally listed them on my etsy. I really do hope they sell. Also, one of my friends made a request for Poke'mon energy symbol nails. So I'm going to be working on them later tonight or tomorrow.

I am so proud of my fake nails! I will be sad seeing some of them go, even though I can make them again, just because of how much work I put into them X3

This is two coats of Pretty and Polished Power House. This polish is so pretty, and it is my kind of polish. It is the perfect jelly sandwich without all the layering... Application was flawless and the glitter pieces came out of the bottle so easily and in the perfect amount!

This is two coats of the gorgeous Glitter Gal Lizard Belly with no top coat.

I saw a similar nail design by Linda over at Copy That Copy Cat, and of course I decided to copy it! Hers looks better... I should have copied it exactly, but I thought I would try to put my own touch on it. And I don't really like the finished manicure. I like hers WAY better!

I used Red Angel stamping plate RA-11 and Ulta Quick Silver to stamp on the pattern. Then I used a dotting tool, Kleancolor Fashionista, OPI Mermaid Tears, and Orly Pure Porcelain to add in some more detail.

Pokemon Nails!

My latest nails! The ones at the top are Pokemon energy symbols. I am very proud of them. One of my friends requested them and I wasn't sure how good they'd turn out (I have a really shaky hand when it comes to small details) but they came out awesome :) You can check them out here if you'd like.

Today I have a Born Pretty Store review for you! This is two coats of Shiny Violet Shimmer Nail Polish Glitter Nail Art #11. It is a very lovely polish, and application was wonderful. It dried quickly. The second photo is more color accurate. This polish is NOT good for stamping.

Then I added one coat of Born Pretty Crystal Purple Pink #63 Nail Polish. In my opinion, this polish is pretty once you get it applied to your nail, but it was a tiny bit of a struggle to get the glitter out (not even enough to really complain about, but enough to mention). It is a holo glitter that changes between pink and purple depending on how the light hits it. It is awesome!

Wow! I am so pleased to hear all the positive reactions to my three frankens I posted on Friday. After much thought, it is clear to me I am not ready to sale polishes through my blog or Etsy. I feel that it would be very time consuming and overwhelming to have to make so many polishes and process orders. My true passion is trying new polishes, doing nail designs, commenting/reading others blogs and BLOGGING! I worry that selling through my blog and/or Etsy will be too time consuming and take the fun out of it --turning it into a job. I would hate to lose all my free time and not be able to enjoy doing my nails and sharing that with you. I have already noticed that I haven't had time to read other's blogs and I hate that. Maybe in the future, I will sale, but for now I want to enjoy what I love. I hope you understand!

I am excited about today's post because I thought I would share three of my franken polishes with you. I plan to have my shop up and running by the end of this weekend. I will be selling through my blog for the time being. I am nervous to jump on Etsy until I feel "worthy" haha.. This is two coats of Nail-venturous Nail Lacquers Orange You Unique?!! with one coat of top coat.

Orange You Unique?!! contains specks of ultra fine neon blue, neon yellow, light pink, and light orange glitter in an orange base. The neon blue is darker than what is shown in this photo. These polishes were very difficult to photograph, but I did my best to accurately show the color of the polish.

This is two coats of Nail-venturous Nail Lacquers Floam with one coat of top coat.

Floam contains specks of ultra fine neon blue and neon yellow glitter in a clear base.

The neon blue is a darker, richer blue than what is shown in this photo. These polishes were very difficult to photograph, but I did my best to accurately show the color of the polish. Although the photos make it appear to not have full coverage. In person this polish has full coverage in two coats.

This is two coats of Nail-venturous Nail Lacquers Pinkerbell with one coat of top coat. Please excuse my red cuticles. I have been swatching many polishes lately...

Pinkbell is one of my favorite polishes. I am wearing it right now and have had it on for three days now. I am sad that it is time to change my polish...

Pinkerbell contains specks of ultra fine neon yellow and ultra fine neon blue glitter. The base is composed of SUPER ultra fine pink glitter. The consistency of the pink glitter is almost simliar to a pigment.

The neon blue is a darker, richer blue than what is shown in this photo. These polishes were very difficult to photograph, but I did my best to accurately show the color of the polish

Many of you know that I LOVE franken polishes... And there are two people in particular that inspired me to open my own Etsy shop (hopefully by next weekend)! So I spent the weekend swatching my polishes and taking photos. While I was looking through my photos, I noticed this manicure that is THREE months old. I think it is about time to post it! Today, I have two lovely frankens made by the one and only Jenna from Lacquistry! Recently, she listed three new polishes that are very unique---shredded 24K, shredded silver holo, and aqua shredded (which aqua is now sold out). She also has shredded black available (you can see swatches of it here).

The photos show two coats of Ulta Mint Condition (which is not color accurate in my photos. It is a tad bit more green than these photos show). I added one coat of Lacquistry Shredded 24K to every nail and one coat of Lacquistry Shredded Aqua to the ring finger.

I recently swapped for this polish! I love, love, love, love it! Thank you so much Carly!

This is two coats of OPI You Don't Know Jacques! Suede! After trying this one, I went straight to my wish list to add the others from that collection. They are my most wanted polishes right now! =)

Because I love it so much, you get two more photos... =)

Then I stamped on a print from the XL stamping plate E with Ulta Gold Rush (which seems to be my "go-to" gold stamping polish). You can purchase these plates at You Mix Cosmetics.

I am really excited to tell you about these interesting nail art pens my Mom got me for Christmas. I used them to add the extra detail to my flower!

They are called Nailritz. I have never heard of them before, but she bought me two different sets, the shimmer set and the precious gem set. I personally love them!

Each set comes with 10 different colors.

Plus she bought me some of the base/top coat ones, which might be perfect to add pigment to make my own special colors!

The really neat thing is that you can open them like this, and use them as a regular polish.

Or you can use the fine tip point for your detailed work like I did with my flower. I love how fine it is, and in my opinion much easier to work with than a paint brush. But I do not have a steady hand. Plus I have no artistic ability when it comes to the free hand department!

Ringing in the New Year with some flashy polish... This is two coats of Lacquistry Dirty Rich (One of Jenna's newest creations. It is available on her Etsy shop) and one coat of top coat.

I am so excited to show you the next polish... Another new one by Jenna of Lacquistry! It is called Shredded. This is one coat of Lacquistry Shredded over two coats of Lacquistry Dirty Rich with one coat of top coat.

This polish is so unique. My layering makes it look like a black shatter, but it is not a black shatter polish.

This is ONE COAT of Lacquistry Shredded layered over various colors. Photos show one coat of gelous. Isn't it simply amazing? In my opinion, it gives Lynnderella Connect the Dots its run for the money in the uniqueness category. This polish is available on Jenna's Etsy shop.

I originally wanted to try a combo with OPI Alpine White and Pretty and Polished Sparrow, but my white polishes did not want to cooperate.

So I did this instead! This is two coats of China Glaze Let's Do It in 3-d (which I purchased from Chelsea as well. She is awesome at dusty hunting. You can check her blog for current HTF polishes that are available.)

Then I added one coat of Pretty and Polished Sparrow. No top coat.

This is alternating between OPI Funky Dunkey and OPI Planks A Lot, and one coat of Pretty and Polished Inked. On the ring finger, I did a light gradient with the two OPIs layering Inked on top of it.

I have no idea why my fingers look all pruny (Is that even a word?).

Overall, the polishes are gorgeous!!! I had fun playing with them. The dry time is average and the application is smooth. In my opinion, the perfect amount of glitter comes out on the brush for each coat. My favorites from the collection are Sparrow and Inked. The combinations with this collection are endless!

Then I added one coat of Lynnderella Change with one coat of top coat. It looked fabulous in person, but the flare of the top coat kinda ruins it in the picture. So I fixed it by making it matte with one coat of Essie Matte About You! Now you can see how gorgeous it is in the photo without the nasty glare.

Christmas Nail Art 2011 * Mani & Pedi!!

Merry xmas everyone!! I hope your stockings were stuffed with nail polish & you got everything you wished for! <3 I finished this mani yesterday & my boyfriend's mom let me borrow her camera so I could take pics to show you. (= At first, this design was really simple, just green and red nails, then I added the tree design from the BM plates the next day, then decided to "decorate" the tree & this is what I came up with.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!!! This is my Christmas weekend manicure.... I got the idea from Amber who pinned an ugly Christmas sweater nail design on Pintrest! The source of the nail design can be found here (At that link, there is another link to a tutorial on the manicure).

The green polish is two coats of Sinful Colors Last Chance. The red polish is two coats of OPI Just A Little Rosti At This. For the snowflakes I used Konad stamping plate M59. For the deer stamp, I used Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-214. For the lace print, I used Konad Stamping Plate M57. The photos show one coat of top coat.

Born Pretty Store Review on Nail Art Decals

Today I have a review on Born Pretty Store's 11 piece Color Stripe Nail Art Decals. These are water nail decals for nail tips, which I have very little experience working with. The set consists of numerous different prints.

I have to admit I have mixed opinions on these water decals--mainly because this is my first real attempt at working with water decals. For those of you with no experience like me, take your time, have patience, and practice! One thing I love is they don't leave the 'lip/ledge" stickers do. In addition, the Born Pretty Store's print/designs are beautiful!!!! They sure do make a beautiful french tip!

All you have to do is cut the decal to fit your nail, dip it in water for 20 seconds, and remove the decal from the backing with tweezers and stick on the nail. (After trial and error and talking with my polish friends, it helps to add a drop of water to your nail bed to help the decal slide around). Once you have the decal in place, you soak up the excess water with a paper towel. Finally, seal with a top coat. (You can also start with a regular polish as your base coat if you chose).

Sounds easy right.... Well.... I add a difficult time applying these decals. I tried to apply these several times, and these photos show my best attempt. First, I tried applying them with NO base coat or polish, and I could not get the water decal to stay in place. It just slide around and never dried to the nail. (which I later found out that this is a good thing. All I needed to do was soak up the excess water with a paper towel... duh! How stupid of me)

Then I tried applying a clear base coat, but the decal quickly adhered to my nail bed.. So quickly I could not get the placement right. (But later I found out from my polish friends, that all I needed to do was add a drop of water to my nail bed to help the decal slide around to get the placement right...duh.. how stupid of me)

Finally after talking to my Facebook polish group, I finally got it right... However, my top coat seem to "eat" the decal. You can see what I am talking about in the photos. I think this is either because I didn't allow the decal to dry all the way or that I didn't have enough polish on my brush...

I hope you can learn from my mistakes if you decide to try these water decals. I know the next time I try these, I will have the perfect french tip!

Step 1: Cut to size.

Step 2: Soak in water for 20 seconds. Remove decal from backing.

Step 3: Place on the nail and press with a paper towel to absorb the excess water. The extra flap of decal easily tears of similarly to the Sally Hansen Nail Decals.

As you can see, I messed it up... But I learned a lot in the process... Next time will be better! Practice makes perfect! The photos show one coat of top coat.

Holiday Celebration // Snowflake Nail Art!!

This has to be my favorite snowflake nail design I ever did! I wanted to do a holiday mani without doing the typical red, green, & gold nails. lol So I was thinking more of a bright holiday design instead and this is what I came up with! The first picture is the most color accurate of them all, but it still gives this polish no justice to how it looks in person. When I get my new camera (hopefully soon) I am going to make sure it has exceptional macro capabilities, enough to capture the smallest spec of glitter & shimmer. I just hope I can find it, and in my price range lol. But I did a few layers of different colors on my nails to make the glitter more multi-dimensional. I used some polishes that had contrasting colors of flecks to give the mani more visual interest. Although you cannot tell in the pics, the purple nails have small blue flecks of shimmer, and the blue nails have, you guessed it, small flecks of purple shimmer. To avoid any confusion here is my product list, and if you own some of these polishes you are well aware of the joy they create when using them in layers ..

Here is the Xmas mani I just took off before I did my current one. I really love how the ring finger came out! I just might have to do that again for my actual Christmas nails. & as you might be able to tell, that nail was inspired by my most recent post of nail art scans, but I did it a bit differently.

And this is my mani from Thanksgiving. I know, not very Thanksgiving-y but I just reallllyyyy didn't want to wear brown nails that day. lol I was in much more of a pink mood and it matched the scarf I was wearing so it was still a *win* in my opinion. lol

On another note, I wonder if I am the only person who does this. I always want to wear nail colors at the wrong time. For example, I want to wear pink on thanksgiving. Or in the summer I want to wear black, and during the winter I want to wear bright summery colors. I want to do purple and blue nails when its a week before xmas, etc. lol Does anyone else do that too? It isn't only with nails though, I must admit. I am like that about everything. When it is summer I can't wait till its colder outside and I can get comfy in my layers of clothes, and as soon as it is winter, I can't wait to get into shorts and sandals.

Anyways, enough rambling. I have some extra late Christmas shopping to do & some more pics to edit for my next post. I hope everyone has all their shopping done and can just relax this week! I will post soon loves!!

This is two coats of China Glaze Ruby Deer with no top coat. I received this lovely polish from Heather over at Peace, Love, & Polish in her holiday giveaway. Seriously, I think this is the perfect red. It went on so smooth and was so insanely shiny with no top coat!

I have been wanting to use Lacquistry Faux Fir polish for a while now. I didn't want to do the obvious combination of layering a green glitter polish over a green colored base polish, so I thought what the heck, lets try it over red. What do you think? I can't decide if I like it over red or not.

This is two coats of Lacquistry Faux Fir over two coats of China Glaze Ruby Deer with one coat of gelous. Faux Fir went on very smoothly and dried fairly quickly. It was not hard to get the glitter out of the bottle and on to your nail either, which I love!

This is two coats of Essence (50s Girl Reloaded) You're a Heartbreaker. Then I added one (thick) coat of Lynnderella Thank Blue and one coat of top coat.

Then I stamped on the snowflake nail design with Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BM-14 and Red Angel stamping plate RA-119. Then added another coat of top coat.

I wanted to do some snow flake tips, and everything was going smoothly until my top coat smeared my snow flakes. This hasn't happened to me in a while.. But I was mad. Oh well! I also added one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Week 3: Nail Art Scans!! // Winter & Holiday Inspiration!!

Here is Week 3 of my Winter/Holiday nail art scans. I think the first one is my favorite. I have 2 more weeks of holiday scans coming, which I might post a bit sooner than a week so you can see them all before Christmas. If you want to make any requests for the next theme of nail scans I post (Ex. a color, flowers, etc.) leave them in the comments now so I can get them together! I also have the yellow nails for the nail art challenge on my SD card, so once I crop the pics I will post that. I think for right now I am going to take a rest from the nail art challenge so I can start doing some holiday nail art!

So enough with that. I have something else to share with you. Last week my hamster died. =( He lived really long though for the type of hamster he was, so I am glad to know he lived longer than the other hamsters I had. I know... I am like the only person over 18 who has a hamster still, but I think they are so darn cute!!! They are just tiny little puffs you can hold. lol So 3 days ago I went to the pet store to look at some of the hamsters. Then it happened.. I saw the cutest hamster I think I ever seen!

EEEEEEKK!!!! Isn't he adorable!!?? I can't wait till he is tame enough to the point that I can pick him up and play with him. Right now he is very skittish, so I have been taking it slow and just putting my hand in his cage and petting him. But one day, I will finally gain his trust and will be able to hold him! I named him Kabuki & he will make an appearances in my posts here & there. <3

31 Day Nail Art Challenge // Orange Nails!!

Here are my orange nails for the 31 day nail art challenge. I have to admit, I was getting so frustrated with these nails lol. I was originally going to stamp with hot pink, but the the pink barely showed up. Then I found another design I was going to use, but the image was not transferring as crisp as I wanted it to. I was so close to just taking off all the polish and doing completely different nails. Then I saw this the design you see in the pic & thought "this could work." & Thank god it did! lol =) I then added some hot pink dots and rhinestones, and what started as a hopeless manicure ended up being one of those manis you catch yourself staring at throughout the day. I did this design late at night so I took pictures with my phone in the bathroom. I was planning on taking pics with the digital camera the next day, but unfortunately I broke my middle finger down to the finger tip. =( Which lead me to cutting all my nails down really short. That is okay with me though, I prefer shorter nails & I like when I cut them down and get to start with fresh nails lol. Anyways.. here are the products I used ....

Another Franken polish for you today! I have become obsessed with buying people's custom polishes lately. This polish comes from Dollish Polish. You can visit her Etsy shop here. She also sells custom hand painted nail art.

The photo above shows three coats of Expecto Patronum and one coat of China Glaze Fast Forward top coat. After two coats, I still had "bald" spots, so a third coat was a must for me. I do appreciate the subtle glitter (there is a slight shimmer the photo doesn't show), but I do wish there were more blue chunks of glitter on my nails.

See all the lovely blue glitter in the bottle shot! I want more of that on my nail! And I did shake the bottle like crazy (like her note said to in the package). I think most of the glitter settled at the bottom, but I had a hard time getting it to rise to the top so the brush could pick it up. I shook it pretty well too.

I recently saw my friend Michelle's (Sonoma Nail Art) gift wrapping manicure, and it inspired me.

Here is my version of a "sophisticated" Christmas present (in other words, I didn't want to use red, green, or gold). I painted on the "ribbon" with Sally Hansen Celeb City. I then stamped on the bow with Red Angel Stamping plate RA-121 and Kleancolor Metallic Navy. These are my recently purchased stamping plates from Amazon. You can purchase a 21 piece set of Red Angel Stamping plates from Amazon for approximately $12 plus shipping.

Later I saw the most beautiful Layering manicure with Cult Nails Clairvoyant posted by Sarah over at Samariums Swatches. I just HAD to do it. So the next day I took off my version and repainted my nails to match her version!!!!

This is two coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather and one coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black.

I think the above photo looks awesome. This photo was my husband's first attempt at an HDR photo. He is still trying to get the hang of the whole HDR photos thing. I just thought I would share because I thought it was cool---brought out all the greens. It has a green glow!

Then I added a coat of Cult Nails Clairvoyant! OMG! This is gorg. Thanks Sarah for sharing this combo!

Today I have another Born Pretty Store review for you!

This is two coats of Dark Red Shimmer #18. Isn't it absolutely gorgeous? If I were careful with application, one coat would have sufficed. Click here for the Born Pretty store link to this polish. This is listed for $4.74.

Then I added one coat of Born Pretty Store's glitter gray polish #B32. This polish went on gooey (which was annoying), but the overall dry time was decent. The amount of glitter in the single coat was great! Overall, I love this glitter. It is so pretty! So many colors!

I was surprised the bottle of glitter was so small. I didn't realize it was a "mini" size. The polish is only 8 ml, so about one half the size of a regular polish. So keep that in mind when you are ordering. It sells for $3.51 on the Born Pretty Store. But it is more than enough.

Here is Born Pretty Store's glitter gray polish #B32 over blue, white, black, and silver. My favorites are the white and black base coats.

Bonus: The Born Pretty Store's Dark Red Shimmer #18 is perfect for stamping! The butterfly image is from the Born Pretty stamping plate M76, which I previously reviewed here. This was stamped over a bare nail (so please ignore the staining).

Then I added one coat of Born Pretty Store's glitter gray polish #B32 and one coat of top coat.

Playing with Gold Nail Polishes

WARNING!!! It is official....My old camera HATES gold polishes. I can't wait to get my new camera back from the shop (broken LCD screen).

Today's post is all about golds! I don't know what my deal was, but I was in the mood to play with gold nail polishes. The photo above shows ONE coat of Color Club Gingerbread Man with no top coat. This is a lovely gold foil polish. I tried stamping with it, but I am undecided on whether it is a good stamping polish or not... as of now, I say no.

The photo below shows one coat of Color Club Gingerbread Man and one coat of Tip Toe (by Old Navy) Gold Dust with one coat of top coat. These photos do not do it justice. This was the perfect amount of bling. It was so gorgeous.

On to the next gold nail polish.... I recently ordered five Ozotic polishes, and one of them was Ozotic 604. The picture below shows two coats of Ozotic 604 with no top coat. Again, my old camera does not do this polish any favors. This polish is the PERFECT gold. It does have a slight holo effect, but my camera did not pick that up. If you do not have this on your wish list, please add it! In person, it looks like a light gold polish with white/silver non-sparkly flakes with a slight holo effect. It is quite amazing--very unique. Please do a google image search!

Ugh, I hate the next two blury photos, but this is such a great mani. I stamped on the print with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Bronze Ablaze and Bundle Monster stamping plate BM 21. The photo below shows one coat of top coat. (P.S. I stamped BM 21 twice over top of each other to make the Sally Hansen Insta Dri Bronze Ablaze show better. one stamp was not dark enough).

I recently bought five franken polishes from Jenna of Lacquistry Original Nail Polish Creations!!!! You can visit here Etsy shop here. She also recently launched a Facebook fanpage. Her polishes are amazing, and she has many to choose from.

This is one of her creations, the Paean of the Bells ("a sparkling bronze jelly base sprinkled with golden brown glitters, punctuated with gold holo bits to create a uniquely warm shimmer"). It is stunning, and I love the color. Too bad I didn't get better pictures but my fancy camera is getting the LCD screen fixed. So I had to use my old camera.

This is two coats of Lacquistry The Paean of the Bells and one coat of top coat.

The next day I decided to try something. So guess what I did. I used my METALLIC GOLD EYESHADOW. Yes, I said eyeshadow. I placed one coat of Maybelline Modern Metallics eyeshadow and one more coat of top coat.

Can you tell the difference?

Then I added some Fall inspired That's It? Instant Nail Art decals.

This is two coats of Color Club Revvvolution with no top coat! This polish is so photogenic, I thought I would share multiple photos. It is a charcoal grey/black polish with a slight linear holo! This is my kind of polish. It went on so smoothly and dried quickly!

The next night I added one coat of OPI Simmer and Shimmer and one coat of China Glaze Fast Forward top coat (which is my new favorite top coat), which I recently received from a friend's blog sale! It is GORG!

Week 2: Nail Art Scans!! // Winter & Holiday Inspiration!!

Ask & you shall receive!! I got lots of comments on my last nail art scan post, so I figured I can make this a regular thing. Since the holidays are just around the corner, I am going to post winter/christmas designs until the end of December. After that I can post other themes & might even be able to take requests for themes!

I think the last nail design, minus the xmas tree would be a cute idea for the half moon nails for the 31 day nail challenge! I might have to recreate it with different colors and possibly a different design. Speaking of the 31 day nail challenge... I have my orange nails on now and was going to take pictures of them today, but I broke my middle finger nail down to the finger tip! Grr! Oh well, at least I can trim them all down and start fresh. As for the design, I will still post my orange nails tonight or tomorrow still, so no worries. =)

Which design is your favorite? Any of them that you would like to re-create? I would love to try those sweater-like designs but would never be able to finish my right hand lol.

This is two coats of Tony Moly Mars GT03 with one coat of Gelous top coat. The first two photos are taken in the sun and the next two photos were taken in the shade. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS GLITTER POLISH! It is the perfect glitter polish for the Fall. I bought mine off eBay. I think I paid $9.99 with shipping.

Then I spiced it up by sponging on Color Club Gingerbread Man and China Glaze Papaya Punch (which seems to be my "go-to" orange polish). Then I used That's It? Instant Nail Rub On Decals for the Fall leaves. This is my idea of the perfect Fall nail design.

31 Day Nail Art Challenge!! // Red Nails

I have been seeing a lot of posts for the 31 Day Nail Challenge floating around on the blogisphere lately. It was tempting enough to make me take the plunge. I want to mention that there is most like NO way I will finish this in 31 days. Mostly because of the holidays are coming up I will want to take a break in between the challenges to do some Christmas nail art. Not to mention the holidays are hectic, so it would be extremely challenging to find time to paint my nails every day. Even though it defeats the purpose of the 31 day challenge, I wanted to do it also so I would have some direction to go in for those times I can't decide what to do to my nails. Plus, that means I will be posting A LOT more! Regardless, I want to complete the challenge as soon as possible.

I wish I had more pictures to show you. Since the red came out darker than I had anticipated, the black card shapes seem to fade in the background. Either way, I love the dark shimmer this nail design provides & how the shimmering red and black go together.

Butter London All Hail the Queen + Stamping

I am sad to say there was an accident with my camera last week--a cracked LCD screen which makes it unusable. While it is in the "shop", I have resorted back to taking photos with my old camera. Oh how I miss my camera! Oh well, shouldn't be too much longer.

This is two coats of Butter London All Hail the Queen with no top coat. I received this polish as a gift from the lovely Lauren from A Polish Change.

Then I used Bundle Monster stamping plate BM02, Color Club Revvvolution, and Nicole by OPI Positive Energy to stamp on this lovely design. The photos show no top coat (I think). I usually try not to use top coat until after photos as a fear of smearing the stamp haha...

P.S. I am surprised at how well the Color Club Revvolution worked for stamping! Are you?

Nail Art Scans!! // Christmas Inspiration!!

I wanted to think of something I could post in between my nail art designs to keep my readers entertained. So that is when I decided I would show you where a majority of my nail art inspiration comes from! & If you read some of my previous posts, you already know that I am enamored with Japanese nail art. I started finding Japanese Magazine scans, which are now starting to become sparse. Luckily for you, I have a folder on my computer dedicated to nail inspiration which holds, idk, THOUSANDS of nail art designs! So I figured since the holidays are right around the corner, now would be the best time to give you some inspiration for your Christmas nails ...

CND Midnight Sapphire + CND Sheer 24k Sparkle + Nubar Night Sparkle

This is two coats of CND Midnight Sapphire, a rich navy blue creme polish, with no top coat. Simply amazing! Just look at that shine! This polish is featured in the CND The Look Fall/Winter 2011 box.

Then I added two coats of Nubar Night Sparkle and two THICK coats of China Glaze Fast Dry Top Coat. Doesn't this polish look amazing?

P.S. this polish eats top coat. If I had any gelous, I would have used that instead.

And if that wasn't enough layers, I decided to add more. I added two coats (but I think I should have only added one coat) of CND Sheer 24k Sparkle, a gold flakie top coat. This polish was also featured in the CND The Look Fall/Winter 2011 box. It was hard for me to photograph this polish for some reason.

Fall Nail Art Design 2011 !!

Here is my newest fall nail art design. I wanted to do a leaf design but didn't want to use the same stamp that I used last year. That is when I remembered my Bundle Monster plates had another leaf design. Since I just trimmed my nails not too long ago, it was the perfect opportunity to use the full image design from the first set of BM plates that are usually too small to cover longer nails. I wanted to incorporate fall colors underneath, I knew gold was going to be one of them and a dark raspberry color. I was going to add orange and browns too but once I sponged on the raspberry color, I thought adding the extra colors might be too much, so I just stuck with the two. Here is the list of products I used ..

Gold Color: Orly "Luxe"

Raspberry Color: Adoree "502"
